The Honking Goose

something to honk about

a message from my 8 year old son

My 8yo son gave me this note. I am passing it along to all of you. The owl is wise.

hand drawn old with speech bubble saying I (heart) you

More advice from an OWL:

Stay focused
Be ‘hoo’ you are
Trust in a wise friend
Live off the land
Glide through the dark times
Be observant
Life’s a hoot!

-source unknown

Now, go forth and spread the message of ‘I love you’.

I love children, until 10, then they need to go boot camp, and come back disciplined structured adults at 18, the hard-headed ones 21. Sorry, I have 4, I am working with a 13, yo girl and and 11 to boy, (( pray for me, more her)). The boys are 23, 21, they lived, they were good, these two I must be old. πŸ‘΅

Kids are so individual – some are most difficult when they are small and some when they get older. But all are difficult sometimes at some point. πŸ™‚

Man, I can’t wait for my little one to pass me cute notes! Or…speak…or…um, smile/laugh…sleep longer than four hours at a time…hm.

Anyway that’s super cute. Pure curiosity and not snark, promise – if it’s source unknown, where did it come from?

It was actually written (typed) onto a bookmark which was also given to me by my son (made at school a couple years ago). πŸ˜€

    I’m a bit confused… are you a goose or owl? πŸ˜‰

Actually, I’m glad you asked. πŸ™‚ My (late) mother was really into owls, she used to collect art and figurines of owls. So the owl always feels like a message from beyond from my own mom, too. πŸ˜€
How a mother could be an owl and her daughter, a goose, well, such is the mystery of metaphor. πŸ˜‰

I love owls too!! My g’ma was a lover of them!! Fall is my favorite time of year because I decorate with woodland animals which of course features mostly owls πŸ˜‰
