like just now. My husband said the words, “it’s a little bit funny.” And suddenly Elton John is in my head singing. “It’s a little bit funny/this feeling inside…” So I got completely distracted listening to Elton John singing in my head. He does that sometimes. Good old Elton John, just starts singing inside my head…
But inside my head is not perfect and sometimes it doesn’t remember all the words. Then I have to turn to the internet and Youtube and listen to the song.
Thought I’d drop by (it’s been awhile). Have you stopped blogging? :>(

I’m surprised we haven’t run into one another there (“inside my head”), because that’s where I live. ;>)

I do the same, as they say, “Music makes the world go round.”

I’m the exact same. Tends to happen a lot when people say “this is my moment” on tv shows and all I hear is Martine McCutcheon lol!

Your husband must love that!
Scene 1 – The Honking Goose’s living room.
Husband: So dear, what do you think the children would like for Christmas? It’s a little bit funny with the kids this year. They have all been dropping the usual hints for the past month and…
THE HONKING GOOSE HUMS AN ELTON JOHN SONG AND QUIETLY IGNORES HUSBAND
Husband: So what do you think?
The Honking Goose: Sorry dear?
Haha!! 🙂

Because I sing in my church choir and spent 15 years on a worship team, I get all kinds of music in my head. I could think of worse things rolling inside my head! Great post!

Good old Elton! I got to see him in concert a few years ago. A real pro, very kind to his fans. And I never get tired of “Rocket Man.”

I have my own iTunes inside my head. Sometimes it gets stuck on something like “The Little Drummer Boy” (aaaarrrrrgggghhhh!) but usually I can choose. Very entertaining.

LOL!!! So like me. But I met someone years ago who’s worse. I found it out so what I did was to sing the corniest or silliest songs in the background, then she’d get all LSS (Last Song Syndrome) and sing them in public without her realizing immediately. She was soon on to me, though, ha h ahaaa!!!!

Wow. I do that, too. It’s nice to know I’m not alone in this weirdness.

It’s funny, because when I think of Elton John, I think of the movie Adventures in Babysitting from years ago, and when the kids are introducing themselves to the babysitter, they give their names as Daniel and Levon, and she says, “Oh, yeah, which one of your parents was the Elton John fan?” Ever since that day, his name just brings back that movie in my mind. Sure hope my wife enjoyed it. Lol.

Great song. Love his new video at Abbey Road Studios with Gary Barlow. My head works just like yours, a song is instantly played in my head if certain words are heard. Ear Worms!!

Mine are triggers.. Like when I look up and see that the moon is a fingernail… Sting comes out to croon “Ghost Story”
Or when I’m reading about a guy named “Mickey” and “Hey Micky” comes out.

Me too. And lines from movies as well. Yesterday my boss made reference to “historic documents” and all I could think of was Galaxy Quest
