Politics is such an terrible drag and I’m sorry that I keep writing about it. It’s just really where my head is at right now. I can’t help it. These are serious issues. Polar bears are starving. The black snake is trying to devour our clear rivers. Beautiful people are being disrespected. Lies are being told. Mud is being slung. The sun keeps coming up every day and for all our efforts at progress, our dire situation doesn’t actually improve at all. I’m mad and sad and ashamed and empowered. I’m all twisted up inside like a coil about to spring.
For what it’s worth, I totally understand if you want to go somewhere else and read something else for a while. I think I might come back to writing more funny fluff pieces in between my serious Unsolicited Advice pieces eventually. If you do go, no judgement on my part. Good luck out there. Try not to be an ass.
Thoughtful political pieces like your are always welcomed by my mind. There is enough drivel out there to bite and spit. Keep it up, it makes some of us feel better.

Thank you so much. I’ve read a couple of your blog posts as well, and I think they are really well thought out and articulated. I just don’t follow baseball, so I have no comment. π

You don’t have to apologize for having an opinion π I appreciate you bringing awareness to the current state of politics. The more people know, the better.

Yeah, I don’t intend to apologize for my opinions, you are right about that. I’m just aware that my blog was more fun and funny two years ago when I started it. That’s life for you – change is the only constant!

Actually W’s cowardice brought us ISIL.
and please, please do something to make sure Trump/Breitbart ( hatred, chaos, fraud and incompetence) does not prevail.
I voted for Hillary because the woman could give that speech in China is still in there.

Beware. The woman who can drop bombs on innocent families and children just because they are brown people who live on the other side of the planet is in there, too.
That said, your vote is your own.

We all thought George W would ruin us and here we are. We may not even have an answer next Tuesday especially if Trump sues everyone because he doesn’t win. Maybe if he does win nothing will get done anyway because the members of senate and house will be sued everytime they don’t vote for his policies. It’s all so ridiculus. And better yet, maybe other counrties will give us amnesty when we all become ex-pats. π

George W Bush actively did plenty to ruin us and it will catch up with us eventually, even if here we are now. It is the fire-starter in me that wants Trump to win now too, just to prove how shitty his rule will be. But I don’t REALLY want that…

I would like to see the end of the electoral college and allow elections to be a direct vote by the people. We have less freedom now than ever before while corporations become all powerful. That’s not going to change. Just focus on what you can do. Maybe political office is in your future…

Hear, hear. Considering how advanced technology is, it only makes sense to switch to a popular vote. This electoral college BS is totally outdated.

Every four years we view the people involved in the process and hold our nose. We try to survive what we mentally think is the end of democracy. We will survive for the system is set up to stop one person from taking the country into a plunge down the slide of chaos.

Not I, said the fly. I’ve never voted for a Democrat or a Republican for President in my entire adult life.

Thanks for the caution on being an ass. I wish our candidates would heed it. (I’m talking both)

I found the ass thing pretty ironic because the Democrat’s symbol is an ass and, actually, they got that symbol by someone calling them an ass.
