want more money? here’s how to get it

There are plenty of people out there eager to give advice on how to get rich. If you pay them. And coincidentally, there are loads of suckers who foolishly give their hard earned money away to these get-rich-gurus for the opportunity to learn the tricks and secrets to wealth. How retarded! If these experts had real expertise on how to legitimately make loads of money, they wouldn’t have to fleece people by putting on wealth seminars.

The problem is that everyone is looking for the easy answer. The only easy ways to be wildly wealthy are 1) be born that way; or 2) inherit money. That’s it. If you weren’t born rich and you aren’t the direct descendent of someone rich, you’re out of luck. Having lots of money will be hard work for you.

Now that we’ve gotten clarity on the basic foundation of the wealth situation, let’s look at some real ways to get more money.

1. Get a(nother) job. Start with one. If that’s not enough, get another one. Make something. Sell something. Mow a lawn. Babysit someone’s kid. Lots of options here. Jobs are hard work, but that’s the whole point. That’s why people get paid to do them.

2. If you really don’t want to get a(nother) job, then it’s time to accept that your cash flow situation is likely to stay pretty much the same in the near future.

3. In that case, spend less money. You’d think this would be obvious, but a lot of people overlook this solution. They tend to think they need more money because there are more things they want to buy. But almost all of us could buy less if we really, really had to. Like if there was no other choice. And if that’s the case then maybe we’re not doing so bad after all.

I don’t really want to give up my free time or have less energy for my kids, but I need to help my husband provide for our family. So I’m taking a tough love approach with myself.
